As part of ongoing renovations at Hilton Doha, the team identified the need to revitalize the hotel’s northern wall, a massive 25-meter concrete expanse stretching across nearly the entire side of the property. Rather than treating it as a purely functional upgrade, Hilton Doha saw an opportunity to reimagine the space as a cultural landmark inspired by Doha’s thriving street art scene.
To bring this vision to life, Hilton Doha collaborated with Mubarak Al Malik, selecting him for his exceptional versatility and ability to bridge fine art, graffiti, and sculpture. His multidisciplinary approach brings depth and dimension beyond traditional street art, making him the ideal partner for a project of this scale and significance.

United Development Company (UDC), a leading Qatari public shareholding company and the master developer of The Pearl and Gewan Islands, announced its consolidated financial results for the year ended 31 December 2025, reflecting resilient financial and operational performance supported by diversified revenue streams, strong asset fundamentals, and disciplined execution across its diversified project portfolio.
In 2025, UDC recorded net profits of QR 404 million and total revenues of QR 1.93 billion, with net profit attributable to shareholders reaching QR 431 million and basic earnings per share of QR 0.122. Based on these results, the Board of Directors has proposed the distribution of cash dividends amounting to 5.5% of the nominal share value, reaffirming UDC’s commitment to delivering sustainable and attractive shareholder returns.
Commenting on these results, UDC Chairman, H.E. Mr. Ahmed bin Ali Al-Hammadi said:
“2025 marked a defining phase in UDC’s long-term journey. Despite a complex global environment, the Company delivered stable results. This performance reflects our clear strategic focus on long-term value creation aligned with Qatar’s national urban development priorities.”

During the year, the Company concluded 14,000 square meters of retail leasing transactions, sold over 100 residential units, and achieved retail occupancy of 84% at The Pearl Island and 99% at Gewan Island, reflecting sustained demand and leasing resilience across its portfolio.
In parallel, Gewan Island continued to advance as a premium waterfront destination, supported by strong residential sales, record retail occupancy, international recognition—including Guinness World Records—and continued progress across hospitality, leisure, and infrastructure assets. Here is what visitors can look forward to on National Sports Day at Doha Festival City.
1. High-energy fitness sessions at the Adidas Sports Day Zone
For teen and adult fitness enthusiasts, The Village will host a dedicated Adidas Sports Day Zone featuring a mix of guided fitness sessions and interactive challenges. The sessions will feature HIIT classes led by Warrior Fit trainers at 4 to 5 PM and 7 to 8 PM, offering participants a high-intensity workout experience focused on strength, endurance, and functional movement. Alongside the classes, visitors can take part in a series of five Adidas challenges running throughout the day, with timings aligned to the overall Sports Day event schedule from 9 AM to 9 PM. Challenges include:

· Fast Forward (Speed and agility course challenge)
· Joga Bonito (Football challenge)
· Hang Tight (Bar hand challenge)
· Don’t Back Down (Arm wrestling challenge)

2. Decathlon challenges to take on throughout the day
Adding to the day’s active lineup, Decathlon will host a series of Sports Day challenges running from 9 AM to 9 PM, giving visitors the chance to drop in, take part, and test their skills at different points throughout the day. These include:

· Basketball Connect 4 Challenge
· Padel and Tennis Wall Challenge

3. A dedicated Sports Day experience for children
Families can enjoy Spark Sense and Play’s Super Mario Mini Olympics, designed for children of all ages. Each one-hour session scheduled between 9 AM to 6 PM and limited to 50 children per session, includes a warm-up followed by obstacle courses, relay races, throwing games, and reaction-based activities in a safe, supervised, and family-friendly environment.
4. Lifestyle engagement and hydration stations
Adding a lifestyle and social element to the day, visitors can enjoy a photo selfie booth and free water and hydration distribution, delivered by Gold Apple, alongside social-friendly engagement points located across The Village.
