Into the Jungle at Mall of Qatar (Until August 1)

This week is your last chance to catch Into the Jungle. Mall of Qatar’s Oasis Stage has been transformed into a full jungle adventure with live performances, interactive entertainment, colourful characters, and family fun for all ages. Three shows daily at 5:30 PM, 7:00 PM, and 8:30 PM. Free entry, no booking needed, just show up before the crowd.

This is the kind of thing that photographs brilliantly, the kids go absolutely wild for it, and it costs nothing. Get there early for a good spot at the Oasis.

Qatar Toy Festival 2026 at DECC (Closes July 31)

This is genuinely your final few days. Qatar Toy Festival closes on Thursday July 31 and it is not coming back until next year. If you have been putting it off, now is the moment. Over 50 international brands, PUBG Mobile, Poppy Playtime, Hot Wheels, Disney Princess, Frozen, Zootopia, Toy Story, SpongeBob, PAW Patrol, and Ms Rachel. Qatar Toy Festival Character Activations Across Qatar (All Summer)

Even after the DECC closes, the characters keep going. Free activations at malls across Qatar through September 30. Here is where to find each one this week:

Colorverse Experience at Katara (Open All Summer)

Now fully open and running smoothly after its July 20 public launch. Colorverse is a 35 to 45 minute immersive story-driven adventure at Katara Cultural Village where visitors travel through seven interactive zones to restore lost colours to a world taken over by the Munchers. Maximum 15 visitors per session. Daily live science experiments, character meet-and-greets, a creativity workshop, and an on-site cafe. Minimum age 4. Children with special needs enter free.

Local Dates Festival Souq Waqif 

The 11th Local Dates Festival returns to Souq Waqif from July 25 to August 10, 2026, bringing together Qatar’s finest locally grown dates directly from local farmers. Held at the Eastern Square, the festival celebrates the country’s agricultural heritage while giving visitors the opportunity to shop for premium fresh dates, support local farms, and experience one of Qatar’s most cherished seasonal traditions.

Doha Shopping Season 2026 at DECC (Until August 5)

Running alongside the final days of the Toy Festival at the same venue, the Doha Season Shopping Exhibition at DECC brings products from over 20 countries including perfumes, accessories, home decor, shoes, carpets, food products, abayas, and everyday family essentials. Free entry, air-conditioned, and stacked with variety.

Diwani Calligraphy Workshop at MIA (Ladies Only, August 2 to 5)

Launching next Sunday, this is the first intermediate Diwani calligraphy workshop of the season at MIA’s Education Centre. Diwani is one of the most admired contemporary Arabic scripts, known for its flowing, flexible beauty and its Ottoman roots. Suitable for those who have previously attended a beginner Ruq’ah or Diwani course. Led by Hussein Ammar Ahmed. Free, ladies only, registration required.

Beat the Heat Race Series (All Summer)

Qatar’s first indoor treadmill race series continues across premium venues through September 11. Competitive racing, community runs, and fitness challenges at Virgin Active, StrongBox, Strive Fitness, The Spotlight Fitness, Rawdat Al Hamama Park, Panda House, and Place Vendôme. The Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs is hosting a Summer Saturday sports series for employees and their families (aged 15 and above) every Saturday from July 25 to August 22. Two activities: a weekly swimming session (7:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Educational Schools Complex) and a 5-a-side knockout sports tournament (4:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Educational Schools Sports Hall).
