Qatar Receives Asian Games Flag as Road to Doha 2030 Begins

Qatar is officially stepping into its next major sporting chapter as the country prepares to receive the Asian Games flag at the closing ceremony of the Aichi-Nagoya 2026 Asian Games.

The symbolic handover marks the beginning of the Road to Doha 2030, as Qatar prepares to welcome athletes and nations from across Asia for one of the continent’s biggest multi-sport events.

The moment will also see the reveal of the official Doha 2030 brand identity and its new slogan, “The Games We Live For.”

Qatar Takes the Asian Games Baton

The flag handover represents more than a ceremonial moment. It officially marks Qatar’s transition from spectator to host as the country takes the baton from Nagoya.

Doha has already built a strong sporting legacy. From hosting the Asian Games in 2006 to the FIFA World Cup in 2022, Qatar has established itself as a major destination for international sporting events.
