Qatar has started a major Hamad General Hospital upgrade worth approximately QR 1.179 billion, with Ashghal carrying out the project in cooperation with Hamad Medical Corporation.

The Hamad General Hospital development will cover several parts of the hospital and its supporting infrastructure.

HMC says Hamad General Hospital will continue to provide medical, surgical and emergency services during the modernisation programme. Its Trauma and Emergency Center will also continue operating.
