Starting 5 April 2026, public transportation in Doha will become more accessible with the introduction of a new feeder bus route, M305, announced by Metrolink. This new route is designed to strengthen last-mile connectivity and improve commuter access between key residential areas and the metro network.
The M305 route will operate from Al Waab QLM Metro Station (Exit 1) and extend to serve the Umm Al Seneem area, a growing residential district. By linking neighborhoods directly to the metro, the service aims to reduce reliance on private vehicles and provide a more efficient, sustainable commuting option.
Improving Everyday Commutes
The addition of Route M305 is part of a broader effort to enhance Doha’s integrated transport system. Residents in Umm Al Seneem will now benefit from:
Direct access to the Doha Metro, reducing travel time
Improved convenience for daily commuters, including students and working professionals
Better connectivity to key urban hubs via the metro network
This initiative reflects a continued focus on making public transportation more user-friendly and widely accessible, especially in expanding residential zones.
Seamless Travel Experience
Passengers can plan their journeys using the Karwa Journey Planner App, which provides real-time updates, route details, and schedules. For further assistance, commuters can also contact the Mowasalat Customer Service Centre (4458 8888).
A Step Toward Smarter Mobility
With the launch of Route M305, Doha takes another step toward a more connected and sustainable urban mobility system. By bridging the gap between neighborhoods and metro stations, the new route not only enhances accessibility but also encourages greater use of public transport across the city.
As Doha continues to grow, initiatives like these play a crucial role in shaping a more efficient and commuter-friendly future.
Recent flight data shows a significant increase in Qatar Airways flights, with 172 flights recorded on March 30, 2026, marking a nearly 41% increase in just one week. This surge is a further indication of the airline’s operational recovery following the sharp decline experienced at the start of the US-Israeli war on Iran. According to an analysis by Al Jazeera’s Open Source Unit, flight operations plummeted to near-standstill levels at the beginning of March, with only three flights recorded on the first of the month and two the following day. By the second half of the month, operations began to gradually increase, reaching their highest level since the beginning of the crisis at 172 flights on March 30. The data timeline indicates a continuous upward trend in recent weeks, reflecting a gradual return to normal operations after the initial escalation. (Al-Arab Newspaper)
Qatar Airways has published its latest revised schedule, reflecting the gradual increase in flights to and from Doha reaching more than 120 destinations by mid-May 2026, across Qatar Airways’ global network.
