The Ministry of Environment and Climate Change, through its Marine Protection Department, has intercepted a wildlife violation involving the illegal hunting of nine sooty terns aboard a marine vessel in Qatari waters.

The violation was detected during routine marine patrols. Authorities immediately took legal action against the offender in accordance with Qatarโ€™s environmental laws.

All nine birds were safely released back into their natural habitat, reinforcing Qatarโ€™s commitment to protecting marine biodiversity and preserving wildlife across the country.
