Qatar Expresses Concern Over Developments in Venezuela, Calls for Dialogue

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has issued an official statement expressing Qatar’s deep concern over the latest developments in Venezuela, calling for restraint, de-escalation, and dialogue to resolve ongoing disputes.

In a statement released on January 3, 2026, the Ministry emphasised the importance of adopting peaceful dialogue as the primary means to address all outstanding issues, reaffirming Qatar’s long-standing commitment to diplomatic solutions.

The Ministry reiterated Qatar’s firm position on adherence to the Charter of the United Nations and established principles of international law, particularly the obligation to resolve international disputes through peaceful means.

It further underscored the State of Qatar’s full readiness to contribute to any international efforts aimed at achieving an immediate and peaceful resolution, while maintaining open channels of communication with all concerned parties.

Qatar continues to advocate dialogue, stability, and diplomatic engagement as essential pillars for regional and international peace.
