The December 2025 edition of Qatar Calendar presents a dynamic month-long programme of national celebrations, world-class sporting spectacles, cultural showcases, live concerts and family-friendly experiences across the country. From the FIFA Arab Cup Qatar 2025™ and the T100 Triathlon World Championship Final to concerts by global icons, heritage festivals and Qatar National Day festivities, December brings together tradition, sport, entertainment and community spirit across more than two dozen events.
Heritage, Festivals and National Celebrations

The 15th Edition of the Katara Traditional Dhow Festival continues at Katara Cultural Village until December 18, offering an authentic celebration of Qatar’s maritime heritage with traditional crafts, cultural showcases and seafaring demonstrations.

Katara Cultural Village will host the Doha Tattoo Festival 2025 from December 16 to December 20, bringing together international marching bands and musical ensembles for spectacular performances that blend heritage and artistry.

The 6th Edition of the Qatar Balloon Festival will run from December 11 to December 20 across various locations, filling Qatar’s skyline with vibrant hot air balloons, nightglows and performances.

Darb Al Saai returns from December 08 to December 18 in Umm Salal, welcoming visitors to Qatar National Day celebrations filled with interactive cultural experiences that reflect national pride and community spirit.


Qatar National Day festivities will take place across multiple destinations on December 18 Msheireb Downtown Doha will host a diverse programme of cultural and family activities, while The Pearl and Gewan Islands will feature patriotic décor, cultural performances and roaming entertainment. Lusail Boulevard will mark the occasion from December 18 to December 19, celebrating Qatari identity through live shows and vibrant activations.

A Month of Global and Regional Sporting Highlights

Qatar hosts the FIFA Arab Cup Qatar 2025™ across multiple stadiums from December 01 to December 18, bringing thrilling football action and uniting fans from across the region. Throughout the tournament, Lusail Boulevard will host the FIFA Arab Cup Qatar 2025™ Fan Zone, offering cultural showcases, live screenings, games and daily performances. Meanwhile, Msheireb Downtown Doha will come alive with activations, screenings and family experiences, capturing the spirit of the tournament.


The Qatar East to West Ultra Marathon returns on December 05, starting at Hotel Park and spanning 90 kilometres from the east to the west of the country, with individual and team participation available through the QSFA app.

From December 10 to December 13, Lusail will host the Qatar T100 Triathlon World Championship Final, welcoming the world’s elite athletes for an exhilarating season-ending race.

Ahmed bin Ali Stadium will stage the FIFA™ Intercontinental Cup Final, the three final matches will take place on the December 10, 13, and 17 bringing top teams together for a major global competition held in Doha.

Two events will be held at Old Doha Port with the Global Champions Arabians Tour from December 05 to December 06, celebrating the heritage and beauty of purebred Arabian horses and Polo AlMarsa Qatar 2025 will take place from December 11 to December 13, blending world-class polo with culture, hospitality and live entertainment along the waterfront.

Concerts and Live Performances

December brings an impressive line-up of musical performances across Qatar. On December 05, legendary composer Omar Khairat will perform at Al Mayassa Theatre in QNCC, presenting an evening of orchestral artistry that reflects his celebrated musical legacy, the same venue will host Abdulaziz Louis Night on December 26, offering a memorable evening of performance and storytelling.


Kadim Al Sahir will take the stage at QNCC’s Al Mayassa Theatre on December 13, while Rashed Al Fares and Ayed will perform live at Old Doha Port on December 15.


At Katara Cultural Village, a series of concerts will take place throughout the month. Saad Al Fahad and Abdulaziz Al Dhuwaihi will perform on December 25, followed by Oumaima Taleb on December 26, offering audiences evenings of Khaleeji and regional melodies.

Old Doha Port will continue its entertainment programme with Miami Band in concert on December 17, bringing one of the region’s most popular pop groups to the waterfront.

Mika Singh will headline a high-energy performance at Asian Town Amphitheater on December 18, adding to the festive entertainment during Qatar National Day week.

Exhibitions, Community Experiences and Year-End Celebrations

At Galleria AlHazm, the 4th Edition of Razza Exhibition will run from December 11 to December 20, showcasing premium men’s wear and accessories.

Sweet Sikka returns to Msheireb Downtown Doha from December 18 to December 27, transforming Sahat Al Nakheel and Sikkat Wadi Msheireb into a delightfully playful world of candy-themed attractions, games, and surprises for visitors of all ages.

From December 24 to January 03, Baraha Cinema will transform Barahat Msheireb into an open-air cinematic experience featuring film screenings, family activities and a culinary “Taste Cinema Experience”.

Doha Forum returns to Sheraton Grand Doha from December 06 to December 07, bringing together global leaders to discuss today’s most pressing policy topics.

Closing the year in spectacular style, Lusail Boulevard will host a grand Fireworks Show on December 31, illuminating the night sky with dazzling colours, drone shows and live entertainment.
