Qatar Car Auction October 2026: How to Inspect and Bid
If you are looking for a car auction in Qatar, a new public auction is coming up in Doha. Qatar’s General Directorate of Traffic will hold a public auction for impounded vehicles starting October 4, 2026, giving interested buyers a chance to inspect and bid on vehicles being offered for sale.
The auction will take place at the Vehicle Impound Yard in the Industrial Area, Street 52, and will run for two weeks, from 3pm to 6pm daily.

Prospective buyers should inspect the vehicles before participating, as entering the auction is treated as acceptance of the vehicles in their existing condition.
How to participate in the Qatar car auction
Participants must obtain a bidding card from the auction yard.
A QAR 3,000 cash deposit is required for the bidding card. The deposit is refundable at the end of each auction day when the card is returned. The card may also be retained and used for more than one transaction during the auction.
Important payment rules
Winning a vehicle comes with strict payment deadlines.
- 20% of the winning sale value must be paid as a non-refundable deposit.
- The remaining amount must be paid within 24 hours.
- The full amount can also be paid immediately after the auction is awarded.
- If the buyer fails to complete payment within 24 hours, the committee can put the vehicle back up for auction.
- The buyer cannot claim back the sale deposit in that case.
- Changing the buyer’s name on the deposit receipt after winning is subject to a QAR 200 fee and can only be done after full payment.
What to bring
Participants should have their Qatar ID or identification card available when a vehicle is awarded to them so the registration process can be completed.
The auction committee can also exclude people who have outstanding unpaid amounts from previous auction purchases or anyone who disrupts the auction process.
Check the car before you bid
This is one of the most important parts of the Qatar vehicle auction.
The published conditions state that entering the auction means acknowledging that you have reviewed the vehicles and accepted their condition as is.
So, if you are planning to bid, use the September 30 and October 1 inspection dates to check the vehicle before placing an offer.
