The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced the postponement of Class 10 and Class 12 board examinations scheduled for March 2, 2026, across several Middle Eastern countries. The decision comes in light of the current situation in the region, affecting CBSE-affiliated schools in Bahrain, Iran, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates.

According to the official circular, the examinations for both classes will not be conducted as planned, and revised dates will be announced at a later stage. The board emphasized that the move is a precautionary step to ensure the safety and well-being of students and school staff.

CBSE further stated that it will review the situation on March 3, 2026, and take an appropriate decision regarding the examinations scheduled from March 5 onwards. This indicates that further changes to the exam timetable may follow depending on how circumstances evolve.

Students have been advised to remain in regular contact with their respective schools and stay updated through official communication channels. Schools are also expected to keep students informed about any developments and revised schedules.

This announcement has brought temporary uncertainty for students preparing for their board exams; however, it also reflects the board’s priority toward safety during unforeseen situations. More clarity on the revised exam schedule is expected in the coming days.
