The Crescent Sighting Committee of the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs calls upon all Muslims in the State of Qatar to sight the crescent of the blessed month of Ramadan on the evening of Tuesday, the 29th of Sha’ban, 1447 AH, according to the Qatari calendar, corresponding to 17 February 2026.
Anyone who sights the crescent should come to the committee’s headquarters located in the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs building in the Dafna (Towers) area to give their testimony. The committee will hold its meeting immediately after Maghrib prayer.
