Qatar Customs’ Anti-Smuggling and Harmful Trade Practices Department has intercepted an attempt to smuggle 1.84 kilograms of methamphetamine (shabu) concealed inside a shipment of audio speakers arriving at Hamad Port.
Officers became suspicious during routine inspection and subjected the container to advanced scanning. The narcotics were found hidden in the crevices of the speaker units, preventing the illegal drug from entering the Qatari market.
Customs officials reiterated their commitment to combating harmful trade and narcotics smuggling through thorough inspections and modern detection techniques.
