MoPH issues warning on Nestlé infant milk batches

Qatar’s Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) has issued a public warning advising parents and caregivers not to use or consume specific batches of infant milk products marketed under the Nestlé brand.

In a statement shared on X on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, the ministry said the advisory concerns selected batches of infant formula that were withdrawn from the local market following suspicions of contamination with a toxin linked to Bacillus cereus bacteria.

What parents in Qatar need to know

  • The affected product names and batch numbers are listed in the official image released by MoPH with the advisory.
  • Parents and caregivers are urged to carefully check labels and batch information before use.
  • Consumers who have purchased the listed batches should immediately return them to the point of sale or dispose of them safely.

MoPH stressed that the move is a precautionary measure to protect infant health and safety, and confirmed that its Food Safety Department has coordinated with retailers to ensure the rapid removal of the suspected products from shelves across Qatar.

The ministry also noted that laboratory testing is ongoing to verify product safety and confirmed that no illness cases linked to the affected batches have been reported so far.

Parents with concerns are advised to follow official MoPH updates and seek medical advice if needed.
