The Ministry of Environment and Climate Change, through its Marine Protection Department, has intercepted a wildlife violation involving the illegal hunting of nine sooty terns aboard a marine vessel in Qatari waters.
The violation was detected during routine marine patrols. Authorities immediately took legal action against the offender in accordance with Qatar’s environmental laws.
All nine birds were safely released back into their natural habitat, reinforcing Qatar’s commitment to protecting marine biodiversity and preserving wildlife across the country.
